“WHAT THE HELL!!”, was my honest reaction after I watched this movie. I will try to talk about the movie without any spoilers.

Andhadhun at first may seem like a typical thriller, but let me tell you, you’re in for a wild, twisted symphony of lies. If I had the power to change the name of the movie, I will name it April Fools. The amount of misdirection and chaos. It’s the kind of film that plays you more than you play it.

The Plot

I will try to seem normal and say no spoilers, the plot centers around Akash, a blind pianist who gets tangled in a murder he didn’t see coming, or did he? Then starts a series of crimes, that sets up a thriller spirals. And you can not ever trust what the movie is telling you.

My final rating for the plot is 9/10

Storytelling

In this movie there is no waste of a single scene. Every detail is either a clue or a trap. Which keeps you hooked. The non-linear storytelling is also great. It reminds me of Pulp Fiction.

My final rating for the storytelling is 10/10

Cinematography

The cinematography here isn’t epic, it is very normal, nothing special. It just doesn’t have anything to say about, maybe just the tight or close shots, is used in this movie in the best way possible, it makes you feel worried whenever it is used.

My final rating for the cinematography is 5.5/10

Sound Design

I have to admit that if Indian movies had only one advantage it will be the way they come up with attractive music and weird dances, this movie isn’t different. The sound design and the music here is at its peak. And the good news is that there is no weird dances here. The movie is normal.

My final rating for sound design is 8/10

Final Thoughts

I love how this movie respects its audience. It doesn’t hold your hand. And at the end, you’re left wondering: who was really blind? The pianist, or the audience? My final rating for this movie is 9/10
